The solution: solar panels on industrial roofs
Together with Solarfy, a large-scale photovoltaic system was designed and implemented, installing more than 3,000 solar panels distributed on the roofs of its three factories.
Each 555 kW project was integrated into the existing infrastructure without interrupting the operation of the plants, guaranteeing maximum efficiency and safety.

Results: savings and sustainability with real impact
The benefits obtained are clear:
Reduction of more than 1,688 tons of CO₂ per year.
Integration of renewable energy as part of its ESG strategies.
Thanks to solar energy, the company not only reduces operating costs, but also strengthens its position as a benchmark for innovation and sustainability in the Mexican automotive sector.

Frequently Asked Questions
This section template is handy for answering commonly asked questions
1. Why did the automotive manufacturer decide to install solar panels on their rooftops?
The company wanted to reduce electricity costs, improve energy efficiency, and align with global sustainability goals demanded by the automotive industry. Solar energy also helps strengthen its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy.
4. Was production affected during the installation?
No. The solar panels were installed on rooftops without interfering with production lines, ensuring zero downtime during project execution.
2. What are the economic benefits for the company?
The project allows the manufacturer to save on electricity bills annually. With stable energy costs, the company protects itself against rising CFE tariffs in Mexico.
5. Can other automotive suppliers in Mexico replicate this project?
Yes. This case demonstrates that Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers can adopt solar energy solutions to cut costs, meet sustainability requirements from OEMs, and strengthen their competitiveness.
3. How does this project support sustainability goals?
The system offsets more than 1,688 tons of CO₂ emissions per year, equivalent to planting over 27,911 trees, helping the company meet global automotive clients’ sustainability requirements.
6. Why is rooftop solar ideal for automotive manufacturers?
Because automotive factories usually have large, unused rooftop areas, solar energy can be implemented without taking additional land and while reducing the carbon footprint of energy-intensive production processes.
